Pre-Purchase Inspection

A pre-purchase inspection (PPI) is an extremely  thorough examination of your potential new vehicle conducted before the purchase of the vehicle. The purpose of a PPI is to identify any potential problems or issues with the car that may not be apparent to the casual observer. It is generally recommended to have a PPI performed by a third party rather than relying on the seller's assessment of the car's condition. If you are in the market for a new BMW, Mercedes, Porsche or Mini Cooper, schedule a PPI and we’ll analyze the condition of every major system on the vehicle before you decide.

During a pre-purchase inspection (PPI), a TMJ Bimmer’s qualified auto technician will check the following components and systems of the car:

Exterior: The exterior of the car will be inspected for any damage or imperfections, including dents, scratches, rust, and paint issues.

Interior: The interior of the car will be inspected for any damage or wear, including tears or stains on the upholstery, problems with the dashboard or gauges, and any issues with the heating and air conditioning systems.

Undercarriage: The undercarriage of the car will be inspected for any rust or damage, as well as any issues with the suspension, steering, and brake systems.

Engine and mechanical components: The engine and other mechanical components of the car will be inspected for any signs of wear or damage, as well as any issues with the transmission, drivetrain, and exhaust system.

Tires: The condition of the tires will be checked, including the tread depth and any visible damage or wear.

Maintenance history: The maintenance history of the car will be reviewed to ensure that it has been properly maintained and any necessary repairs have been made.

Accident or damage reports: Any accident or damage reports for the car will be reviewed to determine the extent of any damage and whether it has been properly repaired.

During the PPI, we will also take the car for a test drive to check for any issues with the handling, acceleration, or braking. Any problems or issues that are identified during the PPI will be noted in a report for the buyer to review.  You will receive detailed high resolution images and videos identifying any potential issues, color-coded by priority:

🔴 Red (needs attention now)

🟡 Yellow (will require attention soon)

🟢 Green (in the clear, no action needed at this time)

A PPI can be a valuable tool for anyone considering the purchase of a used car, as it can help to identify any potential problems that may need to be addressed before the purchase is made. It can also help to protect the buyer from purchasing a car that may have hidden issues or problems that could be costly to repair.
